Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for an engaged technical specialist in physical security with a focus on locking technology. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work both strategically and operationally in a broad and developing role.
Your job responsibilities include being responsible for the design, development, management, and operation of systems within locking technology for property protection. The tasks involve, among other things, participating in assignments and working to ensure that the IT operations maintain quality services with high availability in the locking area.
This is a varied job that mainly consists of:
- Cylinder laying and key manufacturing.
- Ordering locking systems.
- Managing and distributing service cases.
- Following up and finding solutions to recurring problems.
- National advice and support to colleagues and operations within locking technology.
- Contributing to increasing standardization within the locking area.
- Documenting work and establishing routines and descriptions.
- Assignments in procurement and requirement specification.
- Assisting in the work with crisis and security plans.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Education as a locksmith or equivalent education deemed equivalent by the Police Authority
- At least 6 years of experience in the industry/locksmith profession where you have experience in physical and technical security within locking technology that we consider relevant.
- Good knowledge of delaying capabilities (such as access restrictions like; doors, walls, ceilings, locks, etc.) regarding physical security
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Driver's license B.
- Swedish citizenship.
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Journeyman's certificate or master's certificate
- Experience in locking technology for safes, vaults, and strong rooms.
- Experience in developing effective administrative routines and governance
- Experience working in large organizations or authorities, with high demands on operational reliability and information security
- Good knowledge of detection capabilities (such as: burglary alarms, video surveillance, or technical access control) regarding technical security
Personal Qualities
The tasks require flexibility, and we therefore place great importance on your ability to vary between working independently and working in a team. You have a burning interest in technology and the desire to learn new technical systems. You have a very good ability to collaborate while independently carrying out your tasks towards set goals. The role requires you to have good judgment and be able to work under pressure. As a person, you are driven, organized, and possess both good administrative and pedagogical skills.

Workplace Description

The main task of the IT department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department is an important part of crime prevention and crime-fighting efforts, and IT is one of the most important tools for streamlining the police and increasing the quality of police work. The IT department develops and modernizes the police's IT, and the authority invests heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist competence and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in the police operations.
The IT department currently consists of about 1300 employees responsible for all IT used by the authority's 40,000 employees. Our office is located in central Stockholm, where we offer both flexible office and flexible working hours. It may also be possible to work from home a few days a week if the work allows.
For our physical security team, we are now looking for a technical specialist in locking technology who is social, driven, meticulous, and structured. Employment form: Permanent employment with a six-month probationary period
